The Biosecurity Office regularly attends meetings abroad with the aim of sharing knowledge, acquiring knowledge and networking. You can soon meet us at the annual meeting of the European Biosafety Association.

The purpose of 'Biosecurity Office International' is to inform you about our activities abroad. Where have we been (online) and where can you possibly encounter us (digitally). If you are going to an international meeting and would like to share biosecurity knowledge and information, do not hesitate to contact us. We may be able to support you with material or by sharing experiences we have gained in certain countries.

European Biosafety Association Annual Meeting (EBSA)
The annual meeting of the European Biosafety Association (EBSA) will take place in Antwerp, Belgium on May 15 and 16. The meeting is always a great opportunity to discuss biosafety and biosecurity in an informal manner with colleagues. The Biosecurity Office presents a poster about “Online tools and courses for strengthening global health security”. On Friday morning, the Biosecurity Office will give a plenary presentation on artificial intelligence in relation to biosecurity and the opportunities and risks for the life sciences. Finally, we will provide a break-out session on “Insider Threat Awareness”. In this interactive session we would like to hear how participants deal with a potential Insider Threat within their organization. During the session, participants can learn from each other and we also provide a number of practical tips.
